If you’re figuring out how to DoorDash and Uber Eats at the same time, start with a routine you can keep track of: get both apps ready, compare the offers in front of you, and choose work you can finish reliably. 1. Get both apps ready
Check your account access and finish setup while parked. Then check each app’s actual status. These are the controls described in the platforms’ help guides, reviewed September 22, 2026.
Start your DoorDash session
Open the Dash tab and tap Dash Now when it’s available. If it isn’t, you may see Schedule instead, which lets you choose a later time and location.
Go online for Uber Eats
In the Uber Driver app, tap GO when you’re ready to receive requests. Check that the app shows you’re online before waiting for an offer.
2. Compare more than the payout
A $12 offer over three miles shows $4 per mile. A $9 offer over four miles shows $2.25 per mile. Those figures help you compare distance, but you still need to consider the pickup, available time estimate, and where the delivery leaves you.

3. Manage new requests after you choose an offer
Once you accept, check whether you still want offers from the other app and adjust your availability. Get familiar with these controls while parked.
Pause DoorDash while you’re waiting for orders
Open the menu at the upper left. Under Dash options, choose Pause orders. This is useful if you’ve chosen an Uber Eats offer and aren’t already committed to a DoorDash delivery.
Stop new Uber Eats requests
Tap the You’re online bar at the bottom, then GO OFFLINE. Uber says this also works during an active delivery: you can finish that delivery while stopping new requests. Tap GO when you’re ready for requests again.
Set a pause after a DoorDash delivery
During an active DoorDash delivery, open the upper-left menu and enable Stop orders after this delivery under Dash options. The pause starts after that delivery and lasts up to 35 minutes. Use Resume Dash or End Dash before the timer runs out.
4. Review the offers after your shift
Using Uber Eats and DoorDash at the same time during a shift doesn’t mean every pair of deliveries fits together. Look back at the offers you captured and compare them with what actually happened.
Offer history tells you what was shown. Use your delivery-app records for completed jobs and final payouts. That distinction helps you spot useful patterns without treating every offer as earnings.
